Photoshop Design Project: Lost in Social Media
Reflection-My visual story, Lost in Social Media, shows how excessive phone use can slowly isolate a person from real life. I began the story with warm lighting and natural colors to represent normal phone use but its not as bright because the girl is already being attached to her phone. As the story progressed, I darkened the images and added vignette effects to show increasing distraction and isolation.The girl is now fully doomscrolling through her phone.In the third image, the girl is ignoring her mom because she cant get off her phone.In the fourth image, I used strong shadows and blue tones to create a lonely and dramatic mood, showing how the character became disconnected from others. In the final image, I returned to bright lighting and warm colors to represent awareness and reconnection with reality. The girl is now away from social media on her phone and spending the day with her friends. I carefully used lighting, color adjustments, and composition to guide the viewer through the emotional journey of becoming lost in social media and then finding balance again.
